Hair loss in young women
A significant number of women suffer from forms of hair loss other than female pattern baldness. This can often also occur at a young age. Many experts are not even positive on why people lose their hair. There are many causes of hair loss in men and women, including disease, nutritional deficiency, hormone imbalance, and stress. However, by far the most common cause is what is called ALOPECIA which is referred to as hair loss.
Female pattern baldness causes diffuse thinning behind the hairline but there is no recession of the hairline. Hair loss occurs in women as well as in men, and increasing numbers of women seek medical or surgical treatment for thinning hair. The time is long past when women were unwilling to recognize their hair loss, or accept it as an inevitable consequence of aging.
